On the 20th November, the Nás na Rí Singers launched their much-anticipated CD “Rejoice and be Merry”. Barker and Jones’ Bookstore in Naas very kindly hosted the evening which was attended by the First Citizen of Kildare, Mayor Brendan Weld, members and friends of the choir, and representatives from the Friends of Naas Hospital – the designated charity for the CD.
The CD features well-known and contemporary carols recorded by the choir in January 2015, under the direction of Áine Mulvey, and featuring soloists Gemma Ní Bhriain (mezzo-soprano), Jane Hackett (violin), and Conor Cavanagh (oboe), accompanied on piano and organ by Annalisa Monticelli. The choir of Scoil Bhríde, Naas, also features on several of the tracks.
